Does the new Xbox 360 Elite have less of a chance of getting the red ring than older systems?

I’ve had my xbox 360 pro not even a year. I got it refurbished. So far, it has gotten 9 e-74 errors. I ordered a New Xbox 360 elite online, brand new. Will it have less of a chance of failing?

I had gotten the “1 red light” error on my Pro and fortunately still had my Best Buy warranty. They gave me an Elite. I would assume because the Elite you are purchasing has a newer manufacturing date and that all of the problems with the Xbox’s in the past are not going to happen in this one. But, remember, the Xbox 360’s have very high fail rates than compared to other consoles. I wouldn’t worry.
